For the fourteenth consecutive year, artists and craftsmen from across the Kansas Flint Hills will rendezvous in Historic Council Grove to exhibit and sell their work at this juried fine art show and sale.
The Carnegie Library is the event venue for the weekend show, which runs Friday through Sunday, November 8-10. A portion of the sale proceeds will be earmarked for painting workshops and other opportunities to promote the art and artists of the Flint Hills.
Show patrons can expect to see everything from oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings to photography, printmaking, weavings and jewelry. Many antiques are displayed in a gallery atmosphere with the artwork. These antique treasures are also for sale. Refreshments are served at the Friday-night opening of the show. Musicians perform throughout the weekend, and Saturday’s show coincides with Candlelight Charm, a popular evening shopping tradition in Council Grove, complete with luminaries, prize drawings, and a horse-drawn carriage prancing around town.
Join us in celebrating the beautiful art and talented artists of the Kansas Flint Hills – and add a splash of local color to your autumn calendar.
